Kenyan Vistas

African vistas bedazzle.  The pictures below cover 3 main areas.  The savanna of the North Conservancy of Masai Mara, Lumo conservancy in Tsavo West, and the Indian Ocean near Watamu.

We were driven the 6 hours from Nairobi to Masai Mara (we flew back). This picture is from a much needed pitstop.

Elephants of the North Conservancy

The social structure of elephants was a joy to watch, from suckling their young, to pushing the baby into the center when they smelled a lion. As you can see they comfortably coexist with all hoofed animals.

The North Conservancy in Masai Mara has 4 lion prides.  We had the good fortune to see them all.  The males are majestic, the females graceful, and the cubs just plain cute.
