Age Is More Than a Number

 Against the 49ers the Rams won ugly, but better that than a pretty loss.  The defense was stout, and the running game solid.  In a game of statistics the big number is 36.  Matthew Stafford had his worst game of the year.

This should be no surprise.  A tough game against the Bills followed by a short week leading up to a road game would be hard on anyone.  Thirty-six is young in most professions, but getting up there for a football player.  The reality is that Stafford was not fully recovered from the dazzling win over the Bills.  With 10 days before jetting off to play the Jets, expect Stafford to be at his best.
